Foundation Stage Support
The team is made up of experienced practitioners who are there to offer information, support and advice on all aspects of the Foundation Stage Curriculum. They also organise a comprehensive programme of professional development opportunities for staff involved in the Foundation Stage including training workshops, visits to other settings and an annual foundation stage conference.
Copies of the Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage as well as useful information for you to share with parents can be found on the web. Just click on the appropriate link.
You are also entitled to support from one of the specialist SENCO support teachers. They will help with all aspects of the code of practice, planning and offer specialist information and advice to ensure that the needs of all children are met.
Finally all Foundation Stage settings are part of a cluster network which groups them with other settings in their area.
Foundation Stage Clusters
Foundation Stage Clusters are an opportunity for settings to meet on a regular basis to discuss issues relating to the Foundation Stage and to share ideas, best practice and resources. Clusters will also, sometimes, be used as a vehicle for delivering training.
For details of how to make contact with your cluster or for any issues relating to the Foundation Stage contact your adivisory teacher or the Children's Information Service.
