Toy Library
Walsall Toy Library offers a wide range of high quality toys and equipment suitable for all ages and abilities.
- Provide practical guidance to those involved in the care of children.
- Supplement and add variety to your group's existing toys and equipment.
- Offer the opportunity to try new equipment before buying.
- Provide for individual children with special needs.
In addition to our main site, we operate a mobile service that enables groups or individuals to borrow smaller items of toys and equipment.
There are also a range of toys suitable for children with special needs and sensory equipment is available for hire. Users must attend a Sensory Experience course prior to hiring the equipment.
Trained staff are on hand to advise on choosing the right toys for the children in your care and in addition to their normal duties, they organise a number of activity sessions and training as part of the Early Years Unit's annual programme of training and development.
In order to use the Toy Library, settings or individuals need to register and pay a small annual subscription. To do this you will need to bring two forms of identification with you on your first visit, ie. driving license, passport, gas bill, etc.
