Employer Support
Employers Support for Childcare
Employers are increasingly aware of the benfefits of supporting their employees' childcare needs in order to improve the recruitment and retention of their staff.
Support can be in the form of flexible working or other family friendly policies but there are also a number of ways in which your employer can save you money on your childcare costs.
These include:
- Childcare Vouchers - upto £50 per week
- Payments to Childcare Providers - upto £50 per week
- Workplace childcare provision - up to the full amount that the employer subsideses the childcare
The reason that they save you money is that you do not have to pay tax or national insurance contributions on the support.
The amount you save depends on:
- the type of support you get,
- whether it is offered instead of, or in addition to your salary, and
- the rate of Tax and National Insurance you pay.
