Crèches

Crèches operate in a variety of places, eg. shopping or leisure centres, colleges or training venues, and at large events such as exhibitions or conferences.
They provide short, sessional care for usually younger children whilst parent/carers are undertaking training, leisure or sporting activities or an event.
Crèches that operate more than 6 times per year must be registered with Ofsted, meet the same minimum standards as other sessional care, and be inspected annually. All crèches are required to meet minimum health and safety standards and have staff who have been police checked, however often they operate.
Most crèches will charge per hour or per session; some may be offered free as part of customer service.
